Mutianyu Great Wall Tour

Before I start the Beijing trip, I know Mutianyu Great Wall and Badaling Great Wall are the most famous section in Beijing, and the local residence tell me Mutianyu Great Wall is more beautiful than Badaling Great Wall for there are forests covered there. The staff of our hotel tell me the transportation to Badaling Great Wall is more convenient than the way to Mutianyu Great Wall. You could take bus 919 and directly arrival at Badaling Great Wall, but Mutianyu Great Wall own no directly bus arrival there. For we prefer to visit Mutianyu Great Wall after knowing some informations about it. So I choose a travel company for this trip with a price of US$35.
The tour guide pick me up at 07:30am and we visit the Ming Tombs first. I will write something about the Ming Tombs next. The arrival time of Mutianyu Great Wall is in the afternoon around 14:20, the tour guide buy a return cable car for us. There are not so much visitors here as the photo, and easy to have a good sight seeing. The landscapes on the cable car is very maginificent and impressive. I could not image how the old workers built it without any modern instruments.
Some red leaves around the great wall when we approaching here, it is very beautiful, upon we arrival at the tip of the Great Wall, we walk around there for about 2 hours, our tour guide is very kind and tell us much informations about there. Mutianyu Great Wall had been recontruct many times, I know Great Wall when I am a child, and it is live up when I arrival there. I have some feeling about there after this visit, and would like to have a visit to Badaling Great Wall by my own if I still left some time during my stay in Beijing.
After this visit, I take cable car down from the Great Wall and back to my hotel.

Forbidden City

Every guest visit China will visit Forbidden city as a must be sightseeing here. In Ming and Qing Dynasty, it is the imperial residence for the emperors. With the ideal location of city center, it is well-known by the overseas. Another name of Forbidden city is Palace Museum. With 500 years old history, it enduring many history afair for the matter about China. It is the political center and heart in Chinese history.

There are about 980 buildings within here, enduring 16 years construction from 1406 to 1420. You could find many Chinese traditional element here. It is a really wonderful place when you have a Beijing tour. You could also enjoy the construction charaction from all over world here. As a place include all the essence construction character. It is a place attracts more and more tourists visit here. In year 1987, Forbidden city is listed in World heritage list, and regarded as the largest contruction collection in the world with best preserved by UNESCO.
Palace museum became to the management for forbidden city from year 1925, it is an concentrated architure combine with artwork and artifacts of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. Some ancient architecture is located in the Taipei national palace after the civil war of China.
The name of Forbidden city is from Zi Jin Cheng, Zi Forbidden City translated to English. And after some years, the name became to Forbiddden City.
Zi means puple, in ancient China, it is the name of North star, which named in China with Ziwei Star. It is regards as the emperor in the celestial. All of the stars around it all his subjects. North star is the emblem of the ancient emperor in China. Jin means Forbidden, this palace forbidden everybody without permission to entry. Cheng is City, the forbidden city just like a usual city with city wall around it. It is the the original reason for the name.

Another name of there is Gugong, translate into English it is Ancient palace. For there are many artwork and artifacts stay there, it is also a museum, the third name of there is Palace museum.

Great Wall in Beijing

Beijing is the capital city of China and it is one of the famous ancient capital cities. It is the political center of China and also the most strategic city in the north, so Beijing has many ruins of Great Wall, among them the great wall built in Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) is the most often seen and best preserved, there are different sections of Great Wall in Beijing, such as the Badaling, Mutianyu, Jinshanling, Simatai, Jiankou, Huanghuacheng and Gubeikou great wall.

The Great Wall in Beijng is the most famous and a must for Beijing tours, there is an old saying goes like "One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero." Among the sections of Beijing Great Wall the Badaling great wall is the most famous and best preserved. But there are always crowds. The Mutianyu Great Wall however is another famous and well preserved section and it is even more beautiful and has fewer tourists. You can go the the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall if you want to avoid the peak season and the crowds. The inshanling, Simatai, Jiankou, Huanghuacheng and Gubeikou great wall are most challenging, if you are energetic and daring, you can go there and remember to bring enough food and water, also the mountaineering outfit is a must!
